Don't Blame the Pigs!

PIGS! They're as smart as dogs, create social units and in my eyes, are beautiful creatures. They are not to blame for this outbreak, I believe the way we humans treat them is more suspect. If anything good can come of this maybe we'll see more people living a meat and creulty free lifestyle.

Black-Capped Chickadee

We were upstate this glorious weekend and look who moved into the birdhouse I put out last year. We have a pair buzzing between the birdhouse and a feeder and it delights me to no end!
I bought the birdhouse (which is attached to an old shovel) from a one-eyed guy, out of the back of his truck. He gave me a guarantee that a bird would move in. He was right! Hopefully we'll see some babies soon!
Hooray!

Don't Let This Happen to You!

This is Krystal for the world famous cartoon Squidbillies. She is a cautionary tale.
Get out and enjoy the weekend weather! Exercise a bit and have some great healthy food...or else!
Cheers!

This Weekend...

The hubby and I are spending the weekend in the country to celebrate my b-day. Friday we're going to hit Plantations Gardens @ Cornell in Ithaca, NY. I've never been before. It's my goal to see as many public and private gardens as possible in my lifetime. Then for lunch we're going to enjoy what I hear is an amazing vegetarian meal at the Moosewood restaurant. I plan to eat a lot. The weather is supposed to be beee-utiful! Hooray!
Cheers!

Back from the Edge

Here's a really great wine by a local upstate NY winery (Bully Hill) the hubby and I love to visit. The staff are always a ton o'fun and the grounds are beautiful! Just beware the rocks at the edge of the cliff...I almost took a header but was saved in the nick of time by the same handsome hubby!
I've been off the 'net for a while and glad to be up and running again! It's finally warm in my area (70 degrees this weekend!) and I've finally unpacked from the move into our awesome, but smaller apartment.

I actually got around to creating a couple of small terrariums and will hopefully post picts soon.

Ta ta for now!
